Open Test and Tune: Street Cars

Overview
Have you always wanted to get your street-legal car on the track at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course? This is now the least expensive option! Each group will receive approximately three 20-minute Lead/Follow or Open Lapping sessions, depending on driver skill levels and track conditions. No SUVs, vans, or trucks are eligible to participate. Participants are required to provide their own street legal vehicle AND helmet. NO PASSENGERS in cars at any time.
- Lead-Follow Sessions
- For drivers who are new to the track or have completed the High Performance and Advanced High Performance Courses. *Drivers new to the track must be at least 18 years of age.
- Instructor will lead on the proper racing line and will go as fast as the group can keep up.
- There will be no passing.
- Must have a working FM radio in the car to hear instructor while on track.
- Open Lapping Sessions
- For drivers who have completed the Lapping Program, at least one Open Test & Tune Lead-Follow track day, or have proof of club credentials and are approved by a Mid-Ohio Instructor.
- Passing is limited to the front and back straightaways.
Curriculum
- Full-course, open or lead-follow lapping in sessions by group
- Unless otherwise noted, registration/check-in begins at 3:30 pm at the Mid-Ohio School booth located in the lower paddock. A mandatory meeting for all drivers begins at 4:15 pm, with the first on track session starting at 5:00 pm.
- DRIVERS NOT CHECKED-IN BEFORE THE END OF THE DRIVERS MEETING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON TRACK and will forfeit the day without a refund.
